Basking in that post-MFA glow

After three years of study, I’ve completed my MFA! I’m really proud of the progress I’ve made as a writer, and ever-grateful to my thesis readers, Dolen Perkins-Valdez and Rachel Louise Snyder, for encouraging me and challenging me in all the right ways (my thesis won the Myra Sklarew Award).

I’m taking a few necessary days to catch up on things I’ve been ignoring all semester (like laundry) and blow off some steam before returning to my manuscript for more revisions. I’m taking long walks with Perry, having dinners with Nick, and taking it one day at time. I’m planning a trip back to New York to see my family.

If I owe you an email, phone call, or text message, expect to hear from me soon! I’m s-l-o-w-l-y coming back on the grid.

Gearing up for Clarion

I’m also really looking forward to heading to San Diego in late June for the Clarion 2019. Happily accepting tips and advice!
